Thanks to platforms like YouTube and through self-posted videos, people from all over the world explain how to perform various tasks – simple as well as complex. Through these videos, the “secrets” of craft are accessible to all, knowledge of making is now readily accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime.           The role of design schools has changed as they no longer have exclusive rights to knowledge and skills, the manner by which people learn and teach is constantly evolving.                                                       Graduating students from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design were asked to create a work in response to the “how to fold a t-shirt” viral video and later create and upload a video of their own, thus their works becomes part of an on-going dialogue – just one link in a chain of many creations.

Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem  was invited to participate in Tokyo Designers Week from as part of the Asian Creative Award which gathers young and high-quality professional creative power from Asia and around the world in the center of Tokyo, as a way to discover young talents and to provide a platform for students and young designers to make their strides to the global stage whilst building friendship between Japan and other countries through cultural exchanges in design and art.                 TOKYO DESIGNERS WEEK (TDW) is the biggest annual design and art event in Asia which attracts more than 100,000 visitors. celebrating its 29th year from 25 October – 3 November 2014 ,it has grown to become an international design & art event representing Asia.
